Open Source Ecology: free technology for agriculture and industry

Marcin Jakubowski is the founder of a project called Open Source Ecology , which has as its purpose the creation of prototype machines, open source and low-cost, necessary for sustainable agriculture and small industrial activities.
These devices are designed to last and be made much money, much less than similar products on the market, but most easily installed by anyone with a DIY spirit.
What can I say ...! A revolutionary design that can open up significant opportunities and scenarios, available to all and respect for the environment!
Power LEDs for Greenduino: mounting instructions of the lamp
The key element is the Greenduino LED lamp that will serve to illuminate all that cultivate inside the greenhouse. The project was also created to test the influence of different frequencies of light on plants, for which I chose for lighting various types of LEDs, with a capacity of around 3W.
The instructions in this article can make a lamp capable of operating at full power alone, but with a predisposition to later connect the Arduino micro controller to adjust the brightness of each color / frequency of light.
The system consists of 18 LEDs:
- 10 LED red
- 4 blue LED
- 4 green (I also wanted to mount this color for particular experiments)
Against mosquitoes take a bat
Getting rid of pesky mosquitoes? Often, unfortunately, it uses methods of pest control chemicals, harmful even for other species of beneficial insects like butterflies, fireflies and bees, with dangerous effects on the ecosystem.
An 'alternative may be to use methods of "green" as the use of dragonflies that eat the larvae by day and bats that feed on mosquitoes at night.
A closet-greenhouse DIY Greenduino

The first step in making Greenduino was the selection and preparation of a cabinet that would meet the needs of the project becoming my home greenhouse. I used for its realization almost exclusively material of recovery.
Greenduino: the greenhouse automatically open source

Greenduino is a new project created in response to strong interest charged by the posts on this blog about the 'LED lighting used to grow crops. The intention is to build a powerful tool that allows to perform scientific tests on the properties that the different frequencies of light have on the growth of crops, but not only ...
Greenduino is a mini-greenhouse automated built in a cabinet and provided with a powerful light source composed of power LEDs of different colors.
Both the logo that the name of the project is a tribute to the brain that manage each component of the greenhouse, the hardware platform open souce Arduino .
