Drosera aliciae to "hunt" of gnats

Drosera Aliciae vs Moscerino

Perhaps attracted by the sticky tentacles colored pigments with anthocyanins, or perhaps by the growth of LED lights red and blue, an unwary fly is resting on a leaf of Drosera aliciae, remaining entangled.

Un incauto moscerino si è posato su una foglia della mia Drosera Aliciae

After some hours the sticky hairs have already wrapped up closing in on themselves!
At this point the plant secretes new glue, enzymes and acids for the digestion of the prey.

The Sundew is a carnivorous plant aliciae of the family Droseraceae originally from South Africa. Its growing season lasts all year round, can stand high temperatures, takes a lot of light but not direct sun.

The Sundew is used in homeopathy for its antispasmodic properties: it is a valuable remedy in treating all bronchial disorders presenting with dry cough and bronchial asthma.

Drosera Aliciae nel Terrario

I transplanted this plant in the terrarium built 15 days ago and, despite having lost all the glue during the transfer, after a few days of artificial lighting panels with red and blue LED is back in full form, filling the tiny tentacles and producing of glue a large number of new leaves.
